Yawarra Community School strives to provide an enriching and enjoyable environment for all our students. We cater for students from Kindergarten to Year 12 with an intellectual disability.
The Yawarra Community School motto - To care for and watch - expresses the beliefs and purpose of the school. Through strong community partnerships and a supportive and challenging learning environment our students are empowered to succeed, leading to meaningful and connected post school lives.
The Yawarra logo is inspired by the concept of a shield. The role of a shield is to protect whoever is covered by it. It also empowers and gives confidence to whoever is using it. This conveys the themes of nurture and growth which is a strong foundation for this school. The circles in the middle represent a meeting place for community.
