Work Skills Program
Work Skills Program – Yawarra Community School
The Work Skills Program at Yawarra Community School provides authentic, hands-on learning experiences that build students’ independence, confidence, and practical capabilities for life beyond school. Through supported tasks such as product creation, community-based projects, market stalls, and on-site vocational activities, students develop essential skills in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, money handling, and workplace routines.
The program is designed to meet the diverse needs of our learners by offering meaningful, real-world opportunities that celebrate their strengths and showcase their achievements. Whether preparing items for sale, participating in group enterprises, or engaging with community partners, students take pride in contributing to projects that have purpose and visibility.
