Individualised Support

At Yawarra Community School, individualised support for each student is priority.

Personalised Learning and Support Plans (PLSP)

Every student has a  Personalised Learning and Support Plan  which outlines clear, student-specific goals, targeted adjustments, and tailored strategies. This demonstrates a commitment to differentiated planning suited to each student’s unique context, strengths, and aspirations. Importantly, staff engage in regular and consistent reviews of each student’s progress, ensuring goals remain relevant and support strategies are adapted as needed to promote ongoing growth and achievement.

PLSP's are developed at the beginning of each year in consultation with parents/carers, allied health, support staff and where possible the student. This ensures a wholistic approach to planning for the student.

Review and Reappraisal meetings

Review and reappraisal meetings are held in Term 3 each year. These meetings provide an opportunity for teachers, parents/carers and support staff to review each student’s plan, discuss their progress towards individual goals, and make any necessary adjustments to ensure their learning and wellbeing needs are supported.
